ABOUT THE ARTIST Dennis Bourgo's talent was discovered at the age of five. He was sponsored to attend the Topham-Brown Art School in Vernon from the age of six to twelve. He attended workshops during his teen years at the Banff School of the Arts. Dennis opened an art gallery in Vernon at the age of 20. With many years expereince as a painter, Dennis' works have sold around the world. He refers to his lifetime works as a metamorphose - a unique journey that took him from realism to impressionism, to the world of expressionism and back again. He currently lives with his wife June, in Clinton, British Columbia. It is there that he devotes his time to working in his studio overlooking a trout stream - offering him a constant source of inspiration. GALLERY 1 - BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA Dennis' love and respect for the natural beauty of British Columbia is conveyed from the intricate detail of the realist to an easy, suggestive impressionist body of work that teases the mind of the viewer and challenges their own creative thought. GALLERY 2 - THE EXPRESSIONIST MEETING OF SCIENCE & SPIRITUALITY An avid reader of quantum physics and the study of spirituality, Dennis attempts to portray the missing link between physics and metaphysics - sometimes tongue in cheek. GALLERY 3 - ECLECTIC MUSINGS Reflections of an artists' mind - sometimes introspective, sometimes whimsical, always curious. GALLERY 4 - PHOTOGRAPHY Stepping out of the box, Dennis ventures into the world of photography. This gallery includes an array of his favorites. He has chosen to share some of personal meaning, some of nature, some from photo projects he is working on. Also showing, are the photographs of Chad Bowlby. Dennis' son. A worthy collection he is proud to present. |
